Dvi-Mayura :: Kalamkari Twin Peacock

2,750.00

Kalamkari literally translates into ?A painting done using pen?.
Kalamkari is an ancient craft, which traces its origin from 3000
years ago. The art form is typically used to block print their cloths
using vegetable dyes, carving their stamps and making their own
colours.
Dokra, locally known as ?Bharai kaam?, is the art of sculpting brass
with the ancient technique of wax casting. Practiced in West
Bengal, Orissa and Madhya Pradesh, this metal craft finds different
forms of expressions, each art form uniquely different in style and
manifestation from the others.
Both styles are combined here. Along with that, we aspire to adorn
your desk with art, to accentuate your life with colour.
