The Saura style originates from the Saura tribe in Odisha, and is
characterised by the abundance of triangular and other geometric
figures, vibrant colour schemes, and the humans? androgynous
design (unlike Warli, where male and female is marked distinctly).
It holds mention in both the Ramayana and the Mahabharata.
Dokra, locally known as ?Bharai kaam?, is the art of sculpting brass
with the ancient technique of wax casting. Practiced in West
Bengal, Orissa and Madhya Pradesh, this metal craft finds different
forms of expressions, each art form uniquely different in style and
manifestation from the others.
