Katha (story behind artefact): The peacock is renowned for its preening beauty, commanding attention with its exuberance and positivity. It brightens any scene it is placed within and against, dancing on a rhythm of its own. Placed next to a happy memory immortalised by a photograph, it merely enhances the special emotions attached to the picture, and the picture in turn imbues the peacock’s exhilarating dance with sparkling joy. Invoke the sheer delight of the dancing peacock and make it your own through putting in a good memory of you own!
Riti (method): The Madhubani art form began with women painting the walls of their homes, infusing positive energy and a sense of community into their personal spaces. Now, Madhubani motifs can be found on a range of artefacts, bringing the same energy into more contemporary forms. The art form is glass-painted perfected by IndiHands in-house, with our artisans having 15+ years of experience. The vibrant semi-transparent colours are beautifully lined by solid lining, creating a beautiful confluence of the liner’s ebb and the colour’s flow.
