Gond painting is a traditional Indian art form practiced by the Gond tribe of central India, particularly in Madhya Pradesh. This art form is characterized by its intricate patterns, vibrant colors, and depiction of folk tales, nature, and mythology.
Dokra, locally known as Bharaikaam, is the art of sculpting brass with the ancient technique of wax casting. The metal is cast into crafted moulds, which the tribals create themselves, in their furnaces and with their specialized tools. Practiced in West Bengal, Orissa and Madhya Pradesh, this metal craft finds different forms of expressions, each art form uniquely different in style and manifestation from the others.
