Welcome to indihands :: The Art-Craft Nook +91 9822513937 | info@indihands.com

We at IndiHands align ourselves fully with the UN sustainability guidelines, by aiming to foster sustainable development, support artisan livelihoods, and showcase the unique cultural heritage of India to the world. We are committed to follow the below guidelines through our artefacts

Community Empowerment

The income stream that IndiHands helps artisans generate feeds back into their communities, and is directly tied into intergenerational knowledge transfer.

Preservation of Traditional Knowledge

By promoting traditional methods of folk and tribal art, we ensure that there is always a market for the preservation of these historic methods.

Fair Trade and Ethical Practices

We pay our artisans above market rate for their detailed and considerate work.

Sustainable Market Development

We promote Indian art to corporate marketplaces, thereby maintaining an ever-increase in demand and supply without over-exerting artisans, while also providing them with fair prices for their beautiful craftsmanship.

Further, committing the UN values of Sustainable Production and Environmental Stewardship, we ensure that our artefacts are produced using environmentally and culturally conscious materials, from Dokra bronze and Tanjore hand-painted gold accents, to Kalamkari dye and Kutchhi embroidery. Through these practices, we are extremely conscious about our impact on our surrounding environment, and they help in maintaining our low levels of consumption.
