Dhokra, locally known as “Bharaikaam”, is the art of sculpting brass with the ancient and slowly dying technique of wax casting. Practiced in West Bengal, Orissa and Madhya Pradesh, this metal craft finds different forms of expressions, each art form uniquely different in style and manifestation from the others.
